This forum has discussed Phillies Pete Rose warm up jackets at length, over the past year. American Memorabilia has a real gem available in their current auction!

NOB with "arched lettering"...
The most convincing photo-match that I have seen in a AMI auction!

I think the "WORLD CHAMPIONS" patch is cool. Would opposing teams look at this as arogance? Don't most pro sports have rules against "taunting"?
I have a 1968-69 Minnesota Pipers warm up with a chain-stitched team promotion right on front:

Also for the same team (Pittsburgh/Minnesota), Connie Hawkins wore this Warm-up advertising his MVP award and All-ABA status. This was the team's idea, so it is hard to classify it as "self-gloss":

Do any collectors know of examples like this?

Paul Lukas of espn.com's Uni Watch pointed me in this direction

The New York Giants of 1906 wore uniforms boasting of their 1905 World Championship victory. This is also the first collarless baseball uniform.

I believe the Chicago White Sox will be wearing jerseys marked "World Champions" this up-and-coming season.

Oh wait, arm patches doesn't count, do they?

They should wear such jerseys when they play The Cubs, it would be great for sales of a short term issued jersey.
