A "1991 Indians Junior Ortiz game-worn jersey". It's a #60. The tag shows puckering. I think I can also see some substantial dirt stains on the back.
Can someone please explain to me how it's possible for this jersey to have acquired any use at all?
In 1991, Ortiz did not play for the Indians at all and nobody used #60.
In 1992, Ortiz played for the Indians and used #0. Nobody used #60.
In 1993, Ortiz played for the Indians and used #0. Nobody used #60.
Besides the fact that Ortiz never wore #60, didn't play for the Indians in 1991, and nobody on the Indians from 1991-1993 wore #60, everything else on the jersey looks legit - from the tagging, to the letters, numbers, nameplate, etc.
I know it's not a 1981 Ripken, but I really want to know how this jersey even managed to get laundered. Anyone?
Rudy.
