Hi everyone,

I just bought an auction lot with many vintage autographs and most of them are either labelled or easily IDed. I am having a lot of trouble with a couple, and I believe they are Deadball Era players since most of the other autographs are from Deadball stars, too.

Just a quick note - On the second autograph "Douglas Norwine" is the name of the person who sent the auto request.

Can anyone help me with these 2??

Thanks!

Thanks!!! 1 down, 1 to go! I apologize for making the scan so large, not 100% sure how to resize it.

Anyone got any thoughts on the 1st signature?

Thanks,

Tim

I think the last name is Raines.

I think the last name is Raines.

I was thinking Rainey or Raines or something along those lines. The first name looks like Norman possibly? I can't match up anything on Baseball Reference, though. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Tim

I thought Norman as well, I'm stumped.

I have two other autographs here. If anyone can help me with these 3, I'd be greatly appreciative! I apologize for all of the large photos.

Thanks,

Tim,
Could the first one be Kirk Gibson, I have no guess on the second autograph.
Thanks,

Hi Jamie,

The 1st one is indeed Kirk Gibson after looking at other examples - thanks a lot for the help! Only 2 more to go...that blue index card is tricky.

Calvin,

Great call! It does appear to be Sugar Ray Leonard. It's funny since it was a lot of baseball autographs and there are 2 boxing autographs in there - Rocky Graziano and now Sugar Ray Leonard. I guess it was a little bonus!

Thanks again. I only have one more to go and it looks like "Norman Raines" - any guesses there?

Tim
