Offered is a vintage Cincinnati Reds cap worn by George Scherger who coached the Reds from 1970-1978.
The cap was made by Wilson and looks to be a size 6 7/8. I cannot find any Wilson codes on the sweatband but an interesting aspect of this cap is there is a number “33” stenciled into the cap. I have never seen this before and it is quite interesting. I do not know if it was Scherger’ s jersey number or an inventory number.
I will also throw-in a current style Reds cap. Made by New Era, this cap shows the number 17 on the inside of the cap.
The price is $175.00 for the pair. Postage would be $5.00.
