I ran across this listing for the 2nd base which Dave Roberts stole in this famous game. While the ask of $100K is well beyond me, I was intrigued enough to check it out.

This item would qualify as a Holy Grail for me, and has a great description and is definitely a legit base from this game. However, I believe they used 2 or 3 different bases during the 2004 playoff games (they certainly do today), so I checked out other MLB Holo numbers near this one and found at least one other "game used 2nd base" on Holo MT00402957. I bet there is a 3rd one too since they now rotate every 3 innings. These days, the description often states "used innings1-3" or the like

If you compare the photo of the actual game base (in the eBay listing) versus the offered item, you will see the listed base lacks some very dark marks that are apparent in the game photo. Look just above the red LCS tag. All this makes me wonder whether this is the actual base Roberts stole or one of the other ones used that day.

In any case, it is a great item with a nice Roberts and Papi inscription. Do any of you know if they used multiple bases at that point?
