70's Baseball Jersey Tagging Question

Hello all... Interested in bidding on a mid 70's game worn Indians jersey with Wilson tagging, but no year tag. The limited Indians jerseys I can find from that era all had year tags in them. Does anyone have any 70's Indians jerseys in their collection that does not have the year tag? Also, were these ever made available for retail sale to the public? The seller is well respected, but the lack of a year tag scares me a bit and the jersey is a lot of money. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
