What's the difference between these two Holliday bats from 2008?

    Hello,

I own a Matt Holliday bat from this year, and compared to another Holliday bat from this year, there is a noticeable difference and I am curious if anyone understands what it means. My bat is pictured below:

The other bat in question is pictured below:

My bat says: "34.0-34 PRO MH5" while the other bat says: "34.0 PRO MH5". Why are two bats from the same year stamped differently? Does anyone know?

Are there any Old Hickory experts out there? Or is this the one bat company that everyone knows about but not too much?

Why don't you try contacting Old Hickory and ask them? I know other collectors who have contacted them and someone actually replies.

Thanks for the feedback Birdbats. I checked in with them and got the answer. It turns out that the extra 34 means the bat is 34 oz. (What I figured) Normally Holliday orders a 32 oz bat. I guess he just wanted to try a heavier bat for a change? Might be a rare item.
