    I picked up AROD's 1st ever home run baseball. Wanted to know what you thought of the authentication?

      That was kind of the point........I was thinking how silly all these authentications have become.

                Some people do not know how to buy without an authentication of some nature. It is better than blindly buying items with no certification, opinion or anything else.

                  Totally agree. I sold a Tri-Star item (that had the hologram and MLB hologram) on eBay...and a potential buyer passed because the piece of paper from Tri-Star saying that the ball is authentic was missing.

                  It's not even a COA - there's no name on it.

                  Authentication in some cases is overrated. It was a $10 baseball (Vince Coleman).

                  I love the point that was made with this ball. Very nice.

                    That is funny, as the Tri-Star COA is generic and worthless. You should have paid $15.00 for a PSA/DNA COA so the guy would know the $10.00 ball is authentic.
