    Question about California Sports Investments

California Sports Investments (Ronald Fukushima). Is he or are they reputable authenticators as far as any collectors here know?

Do you mean in terms of them authenticating their own items? I have bought two items from them. One came with a team LOA, so I was happy, the other was their own COA. I don't have any complaints with them.

I was asking in terms of their game used items for sale actually being game used. Thank you for your input. I'm glad to hear you are pleased with your items you've purchased from them.

If you search GUF, you'll come up with all sorts of negative threads about Ron shill bidding, but I don't think you'll find any complaints about his product. I've bought at least half a dozen bats from him, and have never had a complaint in any way -- use, markings, shipping, price, anything.

Thank you. I was doing just that a moment ago. So far I don't see anything that leans towards his items not being a legit. That's a good sign.

I've bought from Ron, too. Item is fantastic and he actually returns phone calls in a timely manner. He has a lot of connections and gets quality products. I was very pleased.

Thank you Gameused. I'm considering purchasing a Cal Ripken 1993 road game used jersey from a seller who bought the jersey from CSI back in 1994.

Here is the jersey. Opinions on it are welcome.

That's odd. I have found exactly the opposite.

first off, i appreciate your post. you have an excellent point about the bats you posted pictures of. that is the good thing about this site - you can count on the memebrs to help out every time they can. i guess looking back at my post now, i should have worded it different. i have only ever seen about 7 or 8 of his game used bats, and all looked ok. they didn't appear to have that pattern of ball marks. i should have said the bats i saw (which is a small number) looked ligit. i did, in fact know about the shill bidding deal before i purchased the bat i got from him, but i didn't see it as a concern as i was not buying through auction, and we agreed on price. luckily for me, the bat i bought didn't have a pattern anything remotely like the pictures from the old post. it did have all the characteristics it should and is covered with deep seam/stitch impressions. in addition to that, i was able to photomatch it to at least 2 different games. so i feel confident it is legit. all that said, i REALLY do appreciate you, and so many collectors on this site like you who look out for each other. THANKS!!

He does travel to Japan often so that may explain any delays.
