Very nice bat read, I like the Klesko story at the end.
Looking for: Joey Votto game used items.

        Great stories!

This one - brought to mind by #10 - doesn't compare, but I like it anyway, 'cause I ended up with the bat.

In 2003, at Diamondbacks Spring Training in Tucson, second baseman Tony Womack borrowed the first base coach's fungo bat for bp, and ended up putting a nice V-shaped crack in the barrel. He returned it to the coach, who inscribed it with a black Sharpie and stuck it in Womack's locker.

It reads, "To Tony Dickhead. Happy Fungo Hitting! Robin Yount"
