    Anyone watch this auction?

The auction was for the "1867 Ball Players Chronicle-Henry Chadwick-Bound Volume". An incredible item for sure, but check out the bid history. Me thinks someone put a high bid number to make sure they got it but someone else also had the same idea. Ouch!!!

        Hey Chris,

As to the value, I have no idea. I would guess that in the range of $4K - $5K would be right, but I may be way off. I'm sure others will have a better idea.

I would say right now it has a value around $13,000.00.

If an item sells in a fair auction for $13,000.00 - What was it worth before the auction? I would guess $13,000.00.

Then again, that book to you and I may be priceless, but to post of the world, that book is worthless.

                  Hey Rob,
I think you are about right...it seems to me that previously it went for around 4k - 5k...I think. The seller is Barry Sloate. I'd imagine he's pretty happy with the price. I don't know who the two high bidders are.
