Today's NY Daily News had exclusive photos of the Shea stadium dismantling.

Check out all those piled up seats.

So obviously some buyers are not getting whole original seats, but complete seats made up from pieces from different seats. That's kind-of a bummer, but understandable for storage until they're all sold.

I don't see that. It looks like they are removing every third seat in order for a pair to have three armrests. The seat that was removed will be sold as seatbacks and bottoms.

You are right TFig27. Every third seat in the log section is removed completely and on the back page though you cannot see it in scan every third seat is missing and in pieces. Those seat piled up are those.
