Is It For Sale?
I THOUGHT I HAD IT SOLD , BUT NOT SURE HOW IT GOING TO WORK OUT.
THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE THE GUY KEEPS IT. BUT THERE HAS BEEN A ERA ON MY PART ON SHIPPING. BUT I KNOW THE GUY WILL SEND IT BACK TO ME. AND THEN I WILL PUT TOGETHER A PICTURE AND LETTER.
BUT IM NOT GOING TO SELL IT UNTIL I CAN FIND A PHOTO OF HIM IN IT.
ITS FROM THE 80'S I KNOW THAT FROM THE TAG. AND IT CAME WITH A LETTER FROM THE MAN MANTLE GAVE IT TO AND MANTLE SIGNED AND DATED . THE MAN MADE ME A COPY OF THE LETTER AND WILL NOT PART WITH THE ORIGINAL BECAUSE IT WAS SIGNED.
I JUST WANT TO FIND A GOOD PHOTO BEFORE I CONTINUE TO SELL IT.
ALSO THE NUMBER 7 ON THE BACK IS LIKE THE 7 ON HIS JERSEY IN HIS EARLY PLAYING DAYS.
IF YOU CAN HELP ME FIND A PICTURE OF 80,S OLD TIMERS GAMES IT WOULD REALLY BE NICE.

I believe Henmick44 is asking about the jersey shown above, which is from the 1970s.

Do you have a another Mantle jersey from the 1980s?

Why would Mantle sign a letter from Rickey Watterson? Also, the Mantle is a copied signature of Mantle. Hence, the breaks in the Mantle autograph, which I also have issues with.

This Is A Copy Of The Letter. The Man I Got It From Wanted To Keep The Original. I Saw It. We Took It Out Of A Shadow Box. A Copy Was The Best I Could Do. The Signature Looked Good To Me. Also I Really Just Wanted Someones Opinion. I Had Never Sa One Of These Jerseys. I Know The Signature As Good And Know This Is A Copy Of The Letter. A Really Nice Man Has Been Offering To Help So I Posted Some Pix.

Still, why would Mantle sign a letter from Waterson? It states "I, Rickey Waterson," yet is signed by Mantle? That does not make sense to me.

It appears you received a copy of a letter someone made up and transposed a copy of a Mantle autograph on.

If you can get your money back, you may want to pursue that route.

There is really nothing shown to tie that jersey to Mantle except a dubious copy of a non-sensical letter.
