Looking to see who used alot of pine tar on their bats.....I know of one in doug mientkiewicz but who else loads their bats up with pine tar any ideas?

Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer use a lot around the label. Don Mattingly used a ton in 1984. Hope this helps.

I bought a couple of Johnny Estrada bats in 2006 - both used in Arizona, though one was a bat that he'd brought with him from Atlanta. I got them directly from the team, one night after a game, and they are so absolutely thick and filthy with pine tar that they have not dried noticably to this day.Jeff

I mentioned Mark Grace earlier.......this is what my bat looks like...he painted that stuff on the handles!
