Did the Red Sox use strip tagging on their jerseys in 2006? In the neck or by the regular jersey tags?

I believe the strip tag was located on the front tail below the manfacturer patch.

Here's a couple of pics I saved of David Ortiz from 2006 showing the strip tag.

The photo on the left is from a game vs Rangers on 4-3-06 and the other photo vs Angels on 8-24-06.
