Font is too thin, material looks too new, numbers have blue not white centre? Right?

the whole thing is silly. "TORONTO" is in the wrong font. take a look at the unique "R" on a real '77 jays road gamer. the logo is bizarre; he looks like toucan sam. and of course, the numbers on the back are incorrect. they're supposed to be blue with white inlay. the ebay jersey just has the blue overlay sewn directly onto the jersey instead of onto white pieces.

here's a real '77 road gamer:

Thanks Rudy. I am still hoping to find a good one in my price range.

The same seller actually sold what appeared to be a real one recently

strange they never noticed the blatant differences.

Man! I would have paid more than $405! My ebay search didn't pick that one up.

chris, as you know, legit '77 gamers are pretty rare. even more rare (and nicer) are the ones that didn't get sent down to the minors. that said, have you thought about trying to contact members of the '77 jays? most of them didn't make big baseball money. many could even be in need of some cash. none of them were superstars. i have to think that some of them still have their '77 gamers lying around and would certainly be amenable to selling if the price were enticing enough. i once encountered a beautiful '77 home gamer that wasn't sent down to the minors in a players collection. i passed it by because i simply don't have any interest in any jays items outside of 1989-1994. in retrospect, i probably should've picked it up and flipped it. honestly, your time may be better spent trying to make contact with members of the '77 team rather than waiting for one to pop up on ebay. you may find your efforts surprisingly successful.

good luck.
