Texas Rangers bat

I just aquired a bat that has Texas Rangers engraved in it. It has 27 at the bottom of the bat with 33 1/2, it is cracked but has nice usage on it. The info i got said it was used in spring training in batting practice. O yeah its signed by Josh Hamilton. I was just wondering if anybody can tell me who's actual bat it is? And what you think about the signature?

last few years catalanotto wore 27. i think these bats are given to the teams in spring training for the players to use. i think it is a way to get the equipment in the hands of the players to see if they want to switch companies.
