Please see the following "Tony LaRussa 1969 jacket" on Ebay
I'm not sure how Lou Lampson can write a LOA on this dating it to 1969? Likewise, I have seen quite a few 1969 A's jackets, manufactured by Mcauliffe (not Wilson) with the 1969 Anniversary patch on the breast. This is made by Wilson, void of the patch and has 11 sewn on the waistband (This is the first jacket with #'s sewn on the waistband that I have seen). in 1968, Warren Bogle wore 11. Larussa wore 11 in 1969 (where's the patch??). What am I missing here, that allows a specific player and year to be determined for this jacket void of any year tag? If LaRussa consigned it to an auction house with a LOA, then I may believe it is actually his.
