While I was in my attic today, I came across this bat that I had forgot I even had. I bought it 15-20 years ago at a local card show just because it was game used and it was cheap. And I thought having a game used item was pretty dam cool. :D

The name on the bat is Dann Bilardello but the number on the knob is not his. I did some research today and from what I can tell, it is from the 1986-1989 branding period. During that time, Dann had 3 different teammates with the number 14. They were Tom Prince (1990), Bill Moore (1989) and Ken Oberkfell (1986). I am posting pictures so you all can see how the bat was prepped with a bit of tape and pine tar. This is exactly how I bought it in the early 90's. I know it is a long shot, but I had to at least ask.

Any help or feedback would be appreciated. :)

I think you might be able to rule out Oberkfell. During his Cardinals years, he ordered almost nothing other than K55. When with the Braves, he switched to the B310 (Dale Murphy's bat of choice). With rare exception, those are about the only two models he ever used. He has no orders for the T141 on his records.

Thank you for sharing that information Jeff. That now shortens my list down to Tom Prince or Bill Moore.

I was kinda hoping it was used by Ken, he was the name I recognized.

I think it would also be ok to say it could be a minor league bat he or a teammate used. Between 1986-89 he played quite a bit in the minors in that time.

Tedw9,

If you have any interest in selling this bat I would be interested. Can you please e-mail me with a possible offer? Thanks.

Kind Regards,

Ron.
