    OT: Sting Bat

    OK, I'll be that guy...

    I was looking at the TNA (Total Non-Stop Action) Wresling site and saw the following link:



    I know it's not game used but it's kind of a unique item. Just thought for some of you baseball guys that also enjoy the spectacle of wrestling, this might be fore you.

    Since the description calls it his "trademark" bat, I take it 'Sting' uses one of these in his, um, act?

    If so, I guess that would make it a somewhat legitimate collectible - one that makes sense, is what I mean. Not like some of the bats I've seen up for sale or auction, with some celeb's name inscribed on it who has absolutely no connection with baseball or baseball bats that I'm aware of.

    I did buy a Kurt Russell inscribed and signed bat a while back - not only 'cause I really like the actor, but mainly because he used to play Minor League ball. I hear he was pretty good, till he got sidelined with an injury.
