I received an invitation to this event from Hunt Auctions. Several of the major auction houses do these "preview parties" in Chicago for potential bidders. For instance, I think Sotheby's just did one at their office here in Chicago. They typically offer cocktails, etc. and have most of the key pieces on display. I've always wanted to go, but my schedule has always conflicted. This one especially interested me, because it's as close as I'll get to any of the stuff from DiMaggio's estate! Incredible stuff.
