What size did Mike Scott wear in Astros Goodman Jerseys?

Hello my name is Brandon and i'm a first time poster on here. I'm a collector of all things jerseys. I am starting to dabble in game used/issued jerseys. I found out about this place from another forum I post at. I own the Carlos Lee game used Jackie Robinson Day jersey from 2007 and a 1990 Eric Yelding Astros road in addition to a few others. My question is what size did Mike Scott wear with the Astros in the Goodman years. Just won a Mike Scott Goodman size 44 from Ebay. Seeing that Goodman never sold for retail, my jersey at worst is a game issued jersey stripped and made into a Scott, and at best a game worn Scott. For the price it was a good deal. What do you guys think about the jersey.

Actually, Goodman retail jerseys could be picked up in the mid-1980s and apparently were identical to the game used jerseys. Check out the #14 comments in this thread:

My 1988 Rawlings is a size 46. It has the long pitchers tails in the front and back.
