    Re: Tony Oliva

In reviewing Oliva's records, there are no reocrds for M117 model bats at any time during his career. In 1976, Oliva placed 6 orders. There were 4 orders for D2 models and 2 orders for K55 models. All bats were 35" long and weights were between 31 and 32 ounces. If you have a legitimate looking M117 model, it may be a team indexed bat, or a professional model bat ordered by another player or team. If I can be of further assistance, let me know. Jim

I hope you are not referring to this bat that sold on ebay in the last couple of days.

This bat is not a Tony Oliva gamer. I should know because I was the fool who bought it from the seller many months ago. It took sometime to get my money back from them. Mike Specht was a valuable source in helping me resolve this issue.
Wanted: Minnesota Twins throwback or special event jerseys.

I figured that was the reason for the inquiry. He's been trying to pass that bat off as a Tony Oliva bat for quite some time.
