    Mariners FanFest Official Thread

Hey - I decided to stay in town longer to go to Mariners FanFest. Do you guys have any details? Do I have to buy tickets beforehand? Is admission charged? Where is all the game-used to be found? Where do I look?

    Thanks!

I have been going to fanfest since 2000. I have seen the prices of game used jersey's (that is all they mostly sell at FanFest in Seattle you might find the odd bat) rise and rise. In 2000 I was able to pick up some good items and last year I only picked up a couple items. I went from spending 2 or 3 grand to about 500.

The Garage Sale is where it is at though. They blow out all there old stock alot of jersey's, warm up jackets BP jersey's, spring training jersey's etc....

In alot of these places it is all about connections.

Admission for an adult is 10.00 to FanFest 2009.

Where do you buy tickets? Do you have to buy in advance? As far as connections, what do you mean? I don't know anybody; just a lowly college student.

Where's the garage sale located? If anybody on this board is looking for anything, please let me know. I would be happy to find something for you.

I'm not one for autograph lines though. Last year, I didn't realize it until it was too late, but FanFest was on my b-day. This year, my b-day's the Monday after.

The Garage Sale is usually held in April.

As far as the tickets for FanFest go you can buy them online or you can buy them at the ticket office at Safeco. I usually buy mine online. Iam not sure if they are sold day of but I don't see why not.

Tickets for FanFest can be bought online or in person at any time incl. the day of. I get in free but even for $10 it's not a bad entry fee.

If you're going with the sole intention of just getting game used stuff, you will more than likely be let down. There will be a small tent and I mean small with 5-6 tables worth of stuff for sale. 5-10 bats of old playes long gone running around $40-100. A couple boxes of ROMLB signed by those same former players, $10-50. A table of jerseys from former coaches or players who had a cup of coffee here but left before the coffee had a chance to get cold. Those jerseys can usually be had for $40, sometimes there'd an odd one in the bunch priced a little higher.

It's only slightly smaller than the garage sale but it's just that.. selling the junk. While I love the Mariners through and through, they price things well above average. In the team store you'll find jerseys of common players from years past for $200 minimum. There's a Dave Hansen BP hat still there and at a steal of a price $150.

Ty picked up a nice Raul helmet last year but I think it was put out last minute and he was in the right place/right time.

This is just my experience of going to them the last 4-5 years, things may be different this year but I doubt it.

If anyone is looking for some scrubs jerseys let me know as I'll be there for a few and some autos.
Always looking for Seattle Mariners & anything of Felix Hernandez, Jay Buhner, Richie Sexson and Arthur Rhodes.

            Hi All,
Stop by the Mariners RBI club booth, we will have over a dozen autographed and game used items on auction to benefit CFF and Mariners Care I haven’t decided what time to close the auction, may close it at 2 PM with any unsold being in a Sunday auction. I will be there all weekend some at the booth , floating around between the general area and the season ticket holders event up in the terrace club.
They have spent the last couple days getting the 2008 game used items ready to put out for sale this weekend so that may be something to look forward to, but be warned the M’s are always pricey on the new stuff.
Had some cool meetings last week with M’s execs in prep for this weekend and got to sit and have lunch with Trader Jack the new GM, he has a plan now we just get to wait and see how it unwinds…..
            Cheers,
            Ty

I also picked up that Ben Broussard 2007 Game Used TBTC to 1977 Batting Helmet, went 2 for 2 with a home run in that one. Got both helmets at $25 each.

So there can be some deals found....

I may not get down there until late Saturday or early Sunday. Any chance you could have the auction close Sunday afternoon. Where is the RBI booth?

Les..all your questions can be answered by going to the Mariners website. It took me less than 30secs to do so. Try it & I think you'll be pleased. While I've never been to Mariners FanFest, I have been to several other team FanFests & team sales & would suggest that you go as early as possible if you are seeking game used items, otherwise you will be disappointed w/what you find leftover. Hope this helps. Jay.

Do the Mariners sell player worn/issued Majestic Therma Base Pullovers? If they do, is anyone able to get one for me as I'm interested in getting a pullover?
