I like to display my bats horizontally, any tips on hanging 20 or so up that way? In my college apt i had a few of them hung up just sitting on long nails out of the wall...but thinking there has to be a better idea.

The rack in the pic is just made with two boards, sanded and stained, with a dowel rod cut to size for the holders. The only trick is getting the correct angle with the drill press. You can buy a nicer, more polished version from many sources (Cooperstown Bat Company makes great display products), but, to me, this doesn't look too bad and it was WAY cheap. Two hints: on one side, the pegs need to be lower due to the different widths of bats, and you might want to make the mounting holes in a better spot, where the bats would cover them (you can see I didn't think of this the first time!)

Aw, crud, my photo is too large for GUF to post. Feel free to email me, I'll send it to you.

I have found the absolute perfect thing to use for hanging bats. It is available at Lowes for sure, maybe Home Depot. It is a bracket that is used to hang a cordless drill up on pegboard. I cut them in half and one bracket will do one bat. The bracket has two sizes, one perfect for the barrel and one perfect for the handle. This is really easy and is not that noticable when the bat is on it. They are ven rubber coated so it doesn't scratch the bat up.

I was thinking about getting these off eBay (Item# 270328917821)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270328917821&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fse arch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D 270328917821%26fvi%3D1

You can mount them vertically, horizontally with or without the bat tubes and there clear.

Those look nice

It almost looks like the bats are just floating in the air because of the clear color

I do believe it just two pieces. Im not 100% sure. He has them where it can hold the bat in the bat tube or hold just the bat. Im still waiting on closer pictures of them.
