The JB1 is the initials of the player, and the 1 is the inches. Gamers from that time period would have the model number stamped on the knob. There are previous threads about this. Newer LS bats have the model numbers on the barrel above the player names.

I don't know much about pro model gloves. I do know that modern gloves will have some sort of player identification such as most have the players names stitched on them. Vintage I don't know. You can check the model numbers, but again, I really can't tell if this is one or not. Do some research and maybe somebody on here that has more expertise in this area can help. It does appear to be a first basemans glove, but I don't know if 12.5 inches is big enough. Anyone?
