WILSON Manufacture tag! How do I date???

I have a game worn Wilson baseball jersey and I'm trying to figure out how to date the jersey. I was told that the little tag that has, B-Y tells the year that the jersey was tagged.
Does anyone know the LETTER SYSTEM??????

From what I know, which isn't much, the BY code for wilson dates to Noember 1989.

yeah there is a copy on partick scoggins website for broncos jerseys in the uniform detail section titled as tagging, His website is endzonesportscharities.org. I'm fairly certain wilson used the same coding for all jerseys so these date codes should work for baseball as well.

Dodgerbats, The "code" that was referenced was for football. Baseball while using the same designators for the year, has different month designators. In your case the Y would be April. You don't give any specifics for the jersey so it could also be 1999 or for that matter 1979 as the year codes work on a cycle of ten.

It's an Albuquerque Dukes jersey that I personally thought was from the late 70's to mid 80's, so I was surprised at the 1989, but I guess it's possible as the Dukes wore this style for many years.

ignoring the date code for a second, it's a plastic wilson tag. in the late 70s and mid 80s, the collar tags on wilson MLB gamers was cloth. the plastic tags came in around 1988.
