    Kell

    Hi
In The Records Does It Show If Geogre Kell Ordered Any F4 Models Between 1950 To 1960. That Were 35 Inches And 33.

    Re: Kell

A review of George Kell's personal H & B factory records from 9/15/43 to 7/5/57 shows the following information regarding orders of Model F4 bats:

    7/17/46 F4 34 inch / 32 ounce 6 bats
    7/31/46 F4 34 / 32 6
    2/14/47 F4 33 to 35 / 33 to 35 6
    2/21/47 F4 34 / 34 to 36 6
    7/03/47 F4 34 / 34 2 (All Star)

No other orders of Model F4 are documented for Kell during his playing career. He ordered two Model F4 bats in April 1965 (34 / 31) and twelve F4 bats in June. 1968 (33 / 31). During his career, over 97 % of Kell's bats documented in his H & B factory records were 34 inches in length, and either 32 or 33 ounces.
During the period from 1950 to 1957, Kell used several models of Louisville Slugger, the most frequent being Model H83, with fewer orders of R43, R46, S44, and M159. A sihgle order of Model F3 bats (another Jimmie Foxx model as was the F4) was recorded on 6/5/52 (34 / 33.)

    Good Luck.

    Mike
