    Help with a Rawlings Bat

I just received a Rawlings bat of Indians player Kelly Shoppach. I have never owned a Rawlings bat before. I was hoping someone could help me with the coding on the knob. It reads M288RJ then below that 003(or 8) 0088. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You,
    Andy

Re: Help with a Rawlings Bat

M288RJ is the model number and the bat is probably a maple bat since it's prefixed with an "M". The 003 is the lot number. The last digit should be the year (08) I've not seen a bat stamped with 0088 (perhaps a misstamp?) The most recent Rawlings bat i own is a 2007 which has an "07" stamp.

Can you post a photo of the knob?

Yes. They did almost the same on the model number too.
