Watching Larsen's entire perfect game a few weeks ago on MLB was a dream come true.
I expect HUGE things from the MLB network as the season progresses.
Deputy -
I concur!!!
In fact if you saw the entire showing of that game, they made mention that it was the 1st time since the game was played that it had been shown in it's entirety since it was played in 1956.
They also made mention of a fact I found intriguing... that the film for the 1st Inning is missing and has never been found - how about THAT for a Holy Grail hunt?
Not only did I enjoy watching the game, I got GREAT info on a piece in my collection... did you watch all the old Gillette ads between innings as well? I ask because about 2 years ago I picked up a 'pocket edition' of the Baseball Encyclopedia at a Flea Market... well guess what. It's a 1956 Edition - the same they were showing on the Gillette ads a 'Premium' give away with the Gillette 'World Series' Special Razor package. Now I know where my book came from!
I called the cable co. the other night about it. I have not convinced my wife it is worth $15 a month for the package yet.................

She's shown a few recent chinks in the armour. I can honestly say MLB would probably help her as lord knows she's had enough...
