Anyone think this is a photo match? I got this jersey today. Above the Reebok there is a red mark, on the picture it lookes like there is one also. The getty watermark is in the way. I believe the jersey was washed, so some of it could have come out. What do you think?

No one can see the red mark above the reebok logo? I swear I see one. Anyone know how to get that pic without the watermark logo?

I'd say it looks pretty close. Like you said, may have worn off some in the wash.

Thanks! I just thinks its weird how they are in the same spot. I think its pretty rare to get some marks in the exact same spot on more than one jersey. Besides looking at pre-season pics, I could only find one game where the white was worn.

Ok, now I can see it better. I would say it's a match.

I would have to agree with KingJammy as what an actual photomatch is.

It is a mark that undeniably matches exact from the photo to the game used item.

As this may likely be the photo and that may be the actual jersey.

It is still not conclusive based on the photo because you cannot get a sharp up close view on it to decipher if it is the same exact.

SO unfortunately it is not a photomatch based on the info given.

I would also say it is a match. Granted it is lighter but if you compare where it begins (middle of Reebok logo) and where it ends (far right upper tip of logo) and the slight downward curve on the front edge, the photo is consistent with the jersey.

It can't be a match if the photo isn't close enough to tell if it is the exact same mark.

Basically what your saying is if I was to get the same type of jersey and put a red smudge in the same location with a downward curve - then I have a photomatch too. Then me and Jasonbanz have one photo to 2 photomatched Jerseys???

But what are the chances of 2 jerseys having almost the exact same mark on them. He only played in the pre-season.

Suave - If you are asking if someone could alter a jersey to match a photo, of course. I'd say the vast majority of items could be faked if someone tried hard enought including a great photo match. Bottom line is unless the player walks over to us after the game and takes the jersey off we can never be 100% positive despite COA's, hologram stickers, photos and player letters. A forum member is looking for our opinion I believe in good faith and we offered it. Jason - enjoy the jersey.

Thanks Russ! You are exactly correct. Unless the player pulls off the jersey we can never be sure. That's one reason I like to collect players that aren't ''superstars''. Every jersey I own is from a player who isn't well know. The other reason is I don't have the money to buy big named players.

Read this thread that was just posted and KingJammy explains better of what I mean.

A photomatch is just that a photomatch, not a photolikness.
