    Chuck Knoblauch Yankees knob markings

Hello fellow members this is just to add some research information to your records.

I spent this weekend meeting Chuck Knoblauch Yogi Berra Whitey Ford and Lou Pinella.

    Here is the info:
In speaking with Chuck while he was with the Yankees he told me on all his bats he made marking on the know of each bat and how many he used, but each year he did it differently, here are some examples of how he did it.

1998 - jersey number and dots on the knob letting him know how many bats he used. ( example 11, ........... )

    1999 - jersey number and # of bat used ( example 11, 18 )

    2000 - jersey number, year of bat and # of bat used ( example 11, 00 - 18 )

Hope this information is helpful, if anyone has ny of these bats this will help you know if it is his bat.

By the way he was a great guy, short and a little chubby from what i expected but still a great guy!!!

The one I have has 11 00-1. Would that mean his first of the season?

Is it possible for you guys to post pictures of your Knoblauch bats and the inscription on the knobs?

              Thanks,
              John

This is very flattering, as I have never had anyone ask to see a picture of my knob before. I would love to supply you with that but currently I don't have that capability. But thanks for asking to see my KNOB-lauch.
