I purchased this 1978 Padres Road jersey at a thrift store. It was missing the word San Diego on the front. The 79's had no SAN DIEGO on them so I think the team took it off so they could use it the next year. It was also missing the All Star game patch and the nameplate. I had the jersey repaired by Seattle Tackle Twill who do the all Mariners jerseys. They put the name on and the word San Diego. I bought a All Star patch on EBay and they put that on as well. Are these kind of repairs frowned upon? Should I have left it how it was? I think it looks much better after the repairs. Any clue on the value?

Give details of your restorations to any potential buyer. The Mitchell&Nesses sell for about $200. Yours might not get that much. Just keep it.
I hear the Pacific Northwest is a GoodWill hotbead. Are you from Seattle?

Thanks for the feedback! I am about 20 minutes north of Portland, OR. 2 1/2 hours south of Seattle. I do have some great luck at the thrift stores in the area. I bought the Padres jersey and the Thrillers set at the same location about 7 months apart from each other. I also found a Dennis Rasmussen game bat the same day as the Padres jersey. Other finds include a Cecil Fielder signed bat, a Trailblazers team signed baseball, and a Majestic Authentic RD Cardinals Pujols jersey from 2005 w/ tags.
