Description from the listing:

LUIS GONZALEZ HOUSTON ASTROS 1990 GAME USED "ROOKIE" BATTING PRACTICE JERSEY:
DescriptionASTROS and star logo on the front of this navy blue mesh jersey. 26 on the back. White tackle twill. NOB plate removed. # font is not typical rounded block font found on Astros BP jerseys of era. All proper tagging. Majestic size L tag on the neck. Shows decent game use! Lou Lampson LOA and Wayne Otto Pro-Am Sports LOA!

Possibly I'm missing something here:
1. Name on back is not present and has been removed
2. The number style is "not typical"

How in the world can one be sure this is a Houston Astros game worn Luis Gonzalez jersey (no name on back, wrong number style) as opposed to an Astros minor league jersey or better yet, an Astros jersey that has been recycled and renumbered for additional use in the minors or spring training?

The Astros were well known for sending all of their equipment down to their minor league teams for their use.

Just curious.......

"All proper tagging"

proper for what? lou doesn't know who wore it, for what team or league, or even the era, but the tagging is proper!
