I really don't know too much about bats, but I've been interested in getting one from his Yankee days. Any opinions??

The labeling (center and barrel) and stamping (knob) on this bat are consistent with professional model bats manufactured by Adirondack in 1980 for the personal professional use of the player. The batch number on the knob is indicative of a bat likely manufactured prior to mid-season 1980. You might want to ask the seller the length of the bat---- while not exclusive, a length of 34.5 inches or 35 inches would be most characteristic of Jackson during this period.

As far as Reggie's performance, 1980 was not too shabby --- .300 BA / 41 HR / 111 RBI . He won the AL Home Run Title, was selected to his 10th All Star Game, and finished 2nd in MVP voting.

Good Luck

I emailed the seller and he indicated the length was slightly under 34" (1mm).
