I was looking through the Grey Flannel Auction and noticed this Manning "gamer". At first glance I simply dismissed it since I do not trust any Manning shirt without a Manning/Peyback/Colts LOA. When I looked at the photos closer I IMMEDIATELY noticed two problems. First, the neck swatch that reads 06-50 is two separate tags. I have owned a guaranteed genuine Manning gamer and I have seen a multitude of other Manning shirts. I have never ever seen the year/size swatch in two pieces on a Manning shirt. Never. That prompted me to examine the namplate more closely. At that time I really noticed the second problem with this shirt. I have never ever seen a true Manning gamer with a "tightly cropped" nameplate. Ever. Notice the plate is closely cropped near the M and G. I decided to go to Getty Images to investigate my suspicions and what I found is alarming. I browsed through 6 years of Manning photos....THOUSANDS of images. I could not find one....not one....photo of a tightly cropped name plate. I have included the photos from various years and games to validate my opinion. Furthermore, I have included links to four different auctions of genuine Manning shirts that were accompanied with a Manning LOA. Once again, not one single cropped name plate. I feel the swatch was doctored or added at a later time and then the name plate was sewn on. In my opinion, there is absolutely zero chance this shirt was ever worn by Peyton Manning in an NFL game.

Well I am not a football expert, but at most can we call this Jersey Game Issued???

I looked at your photos from Getty and the Auction photos of the nameplate to be honest unless I am missing something it did not seem like that huge of a difference.

But...... putting that aside what I did notice not only was the year swatch seperate But take a good look out how pristine sharp and shiny the numbers are on the years.
If this was used even from one game with all the moving, running, tackles and everything else that comes along with one game of football. Shouldn't there even be a tad of wear on the numbers till dull them down a drop??

I mean they are absolutely pristine shiny!!!

Can we call it Game Issued???

Look closer....the name plate cropping is a HUGE difference.
