Michigan Panthers Game Used Helmet - Anthony Carter?

Any thoughts from the helmet experts?

    PERSONALLY

I would stay away from anything with a Coaches Corner LOA.

I am by no means an expert but in 1983 I was a member of the Michigan Panthers game day personnel where I personally acquired Anthony Carter's helmets from both 1983 and 1984.
Besides myself there can potentially only be one other person who would have the four different styles that the Panthers wore in those years.
My 1984 still has a astro-turf burn from when Anthony caught a pass and came down and broke his arm against the San Antonio Gunslingers. His 1983 has been with me since the team returned from winning the USFL Championship game in Denver. I also acquired that season's jersey, pants and shoes of AC's.
Although I was not eligible for a ring I was later successful in locating and buying one from a player.
The tipoff should be that AC is a much bigger name than what the buy it now price would indicate in my opinion. If it walks like a duck and squawks like a duck...well folks, it's a duck. And not a Panther.

I think this might actually be an easy one - the Panthers played in 1983 and 1984, and that helmet is a VSR-1 which wasn't introduced until at least 1985 if not 1986. The facemask is a Riddell style that didn't debut until the 1990s.

It's a nice replica, but not a Michigan Panthers gamer.
