That was my feeling exactly.
But I'm not a football jersey expert.....and after my jumping-the-gun idiotic miscue (because I just looked at the pictures, and didn't read the whole description) on the Mantle jersey in GF's auction, I'm laying low until I have something concrete to add.
But wow.....that jersey looks spanking new. It wouldn't be one I would be after. My two Lincolns. -

I think that wash tag is 'BRAND NEW'
I have a few gamers in my collection and every one of them that has been laundered, even once, the tag has curled a little.
Could GF have 'ironed' out the wrinkles in order to show the 'true beauty' of this 34 year old gem? Had it dry cleaned to take out all the nasty marks and stains that we all hate on our jerseys? Sure, it's a possibility.

I revisited this item this morning and looked for 1975 photos, all showed Namath with cutoff sleeves. How does this GF jersey connect to 1975???
