Here's some fuel to the fire!!! Apparently an Elliott Maddox jersey was sold in tandem with a 1990 Gregg Jefferies Mets home jersey (which 99 out of 100 times is going to be a $100.00 Scoreboard jersey) in a recent Grey Flannel auction for the staggering sum of $1,160!!!

Now, if you factor out the price of 1 Scoreboard jersey and its associated buyers premium of 15-20%, you are left with 1 Elliott Maddox jersey valued at $1,000.00.

One would think that only a Hall of Fame caliber player would command a sum that high!
