Yesterday I was watching the re-broadcast of the Tigers / Yankees game from Tiger Stadium on June 28, 1976 on the MLB channel. In the beginning of the program, two broadcasters were doing their pre-game thing in front of Al Kaline’s locker. What caught my eye was, there were six (6) home white Tiger jerseys hanging in the locker along with a pair of civilian’s pants. If Kaline was dressed and on the field, that would mean he had seven (7) home jerseys hanging in his locker.
