Under the "conventional wisdom" these jerseys shouldn't have tags but they do. It was the procedure of the mfr to tag all jerseys mfr'd under the McAuliffe label to include the standard mfr, year, size and wash tags.

These jerseys represent 1969 A's vests note the different '69 year tag that was actually used that year on Stall and Dean labeled jerseys. ( mostly hockey). The McAuliffe baseball jerseys contain a year tag that has a navy blue background and a red 2 digit year.

These jerseys represent the 1971 A's vests. Once again, the Stall and Dean version of the year tag was used. Both are in the players size. Jackson 44 and Duncan 46

These jerseys represent a 1972 Giants home and a 1973 road. The Giants '72 jersey is lacking the NIC as McAuliffe/ Stall and Dean no longer had chainstitch capability when these were ordered. The '73 road jersey was ordered as a blank jersey with the neck and sleeve trim. McAuliffe did not produce the Giants road jerseys so they didn't have the correct patterns for this jersey. It was lettered elsewhere.

These jerseys represent the 1976 Reds. Since McAuliffe didn't produce jerseys for that team, they both were ordered blank with the appropriate neck and sleeve trim and lettered and numbered elsewhere.

These jerseys represent the 1969 Padres and White Sox road jerseys. Once again, since McAuliffe did not produce the jerseys for either team, the jerseys were ordered blank with the appropriate trim and lettered and numbered elsewhere.

These jerseys are part of the group that was ordered for a softball team in the Cleveland area. They were ordered in the late '80's. Another of the road version can be seen in it's original state in the Henderson Guide under Cleveland "prototypes" This particular road jersey has been re-worked to correct the name on the front, the patch and the back numbers. The owner wasn't too happy with the original results so he changed this particular jersey and all of the remaining others after the team was through using them. Both contain the Stall and Dean version of the year tag.

I have no pics to post, but a research project decades ago allowed me to uncover a set of movie-worn jerseys issued by McAuliffe. The movie was the classic "Bang The Drum Slowly", and a few of the New York Mammoths shirts (think Yankees homes, but with a different interlocking NY logo) carry 1972 McAuliffe tagging
