2006 Majestic Tagging - Rangers

Should a 2006 Rangers Majestic jersey have a set tag on it? Seller of ebay '06 Nelson Cruz below indicates the referenced jersey comes with a Rangers LOA, but the jersey has no set tagging. However, I have seen other Rangers LOA'd jerseys of the alt blue style in question that have the size and set tagging. Photo below is of another Rangers jersey that has set tagging.

Sometimes Majestic jerseys for mid-season or late-season acquisitions/callups will not have flag or strip tagging that is the norm for the respective team. More important would be the five digit strip tag inside the tail, shown as 06XXX (06 for the year, XXX being a 3-digit inventory code).

Thanks Dave. Would the proper inventory for game jersey then be (vs. retail) 06 062?

Side note, seller indicated there was no other tagging in the jersey. And doubled the price.

The inventory tag (inside the tail) has nothing to do with the retail or team issue tag (attached to the inside seam). The team issue tag would have 0063 on it (for a cool base game jersey).

Also, cool base jerseys, with screened on Majestic tail tags, often have the set, year, and/or customization tags in the same spot as the 0063 tag.

The inventory number (tail tag) would be 06???, as no one I know in the hobby has deciphered the codes the Rangers use other than the first two digits being the year.

FWIW, the seller's asking price seems to be in the same alternate reality as the guy who sells the home run balls he catches at Wrigley Field on eBay. A friend of mine, after 3 attempts, couldn't even get $200 for a Cruz last year. Cruz's stock may well have risen since then, but I doubt by THAT much.
