Hey guys,

I just got a new Jay Bruce LS M356, and in doing some digging on it, I believe I have it matched to his 13th homer last year at Wrigley. My eye is not as keen as some on this board, but I'm pretty sure I've got a winner. The MLB holo has it being collected in Colorado on 8-22, and the getty files I found date the bat to 8-21. The keys, to me, are the big round splotch of pine tar above Jay's thumb, the light mota through the label brand, and the black rack streak directly under the name plate. Please have a look and let me know what you think.

Also, here's a link to the homer on mlb.com:

Thanks in advance because I REALLY appreciate all the help you guys provide here.

Just by looking at your Getty pictures and your bat in hand.

I don't think there is enough evidence to declare it a photomatch.

You need to get a closer pic if possible, it's too difficult to tell with these pics.

I don't think that's a match. Your bat has alot of black streaks towards the end of the barrell. The bat in the photos has only one black streak. None near the top of the barrell. Close, but not quite a match.

I also do not see the mlb/tpx logo on the bat in the pics either....

What game does the MLB hologram say? Photmatching looks good or close to me of course I'm not an expert on photomatching. By the way a great looking bat and unbroken. Very Nice.

Hey Guys,

The extra black marks can be explained by the fact that the bat was used in at least one more game, and then had to travel back to Cincy with a bunch of other bats. Also, I'm pretty sure all LVS had the TPX logo on the inner barrel. Those 3 pics just don't show the right angle to pick them up. I'll try to dig up more pics, because unfortunately that's all that Getty had.

NotExpensive, MLB database says it was collected in Colorado on August 22, one game after the homer. I'm assuming he broke it in that game, and MLB grabbed it for their study (it still has the mlb study sticker on the barrel).

Thanks,
Josh

I'm still not convinced this is the bat in those pics.....Appears to be more pine tar on the centerbrand of your bat than what is on the bat in the pics. Much lighter. I could be wrong, I'm just saying based on these pics one could not say 100% that you have a photomatch.
