For What It's Worth- Cruz, Jr.

I need help. I have a Jose Cruz, Jr. Tampa Bay Devil Rays jersey with a Wayne Otto LOA. The problem is that I don't know what it's worth. This one in particular bothers me because it is a metaphor for what I don't know about jerseys.

1. Is their value based on playing ability or numbers?
2. Is it based on a marquee name?
3. Is it based on the size of the market and number of available jerseys?
4. Would it be worth any more if I had it paired with a Cruz, Sr. jersey?

Or all of the above? In short, what would you estimate the value of such a jersey to be.

Any idea when a price guide for jerseys might appear? This guesswork has decimated my retirement fund.

Eureka all those things you mentioned sets the market value of what that jerseys is worth. At the same time you might come across someone who is Super Cruz Jr. fan and might want to pay $1,000 for it so honestly you never really know.

If i was to put an educated guess out there ( bear in mind I do not have huge knowlege of his numbers or his future potential ) I would say maybe $300 possible $400.

I would say what gives him more value is of the noteriety of his father.
