Pretty Nice Piece of Yankees History - First Hit at New Stadium Jersey

Just got in this jersey and felt it needed a post.

Opening Day Johnny Damon Jersey 4/16/09 - Worn while he collected the first hit ever at Yankee Stadium!

Very excited about this. It's a great addition to my Damon collection.

    Thanks
    Tom

      Tom,

nice pickup. here is a possible photomatch. the pinstripes look to line up great with the NY logo.

          Tom,

          Nice pick up!

I was fortunate enough to get one of the opening day jerseys as well...It arrived and I have given it a quick glance and looked at screen shots that I had saved and it all appears to match up perfectly...Unfortunately, I am holding the losing pitcher from that afternoon, Jose Veras. It's still a piece of history though--first loss at Yankee Stadium! I will post some pix tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies. I was able to obtain it from Steiner with MLB hologram as well.

Mark, thanks for the pic. All the pics I found showed the same with all the pinstripes matching up!

            Thanks David!

Scott, post some pics of it. Even a loser if a part of history!

Great jersey Tom. Was so glad to see the first 4 batters get out so Damon could get that hit. Here are some pics of my goodies from the game.

                Cody Ransom

                Phil Coke

                Brett Gardner

Still need to photograph Ramiro Pena and Rob Thomson

I don't have MLB.tv so I can't do any screen captures, but I have the game on DVR and everything looks like it matches up. If anyone has access online, can you do any screen grabs? There are some great shots of Veras on the mound and in the dugout after Girardi pulled him.

So here it is, the first losing pitcher at the new stadium.
