Hey, does anyone know if Xavier Nady used square-hemmed jerseys? This one was sold by Jerseys2003 on ebay. Steiner cert said it was Nady game used (and not Hawkins who also wore 22 in 2008).

I guess what I am asking is whether Steiner could have goofed, as BOTH Nady and Hawkins wore 22 during 2008, and I have not seen any other square-hemmed Nady jerseys? -

Well the yankees put that black armband for Bobby Murcer who passed away on July 12th. Hawkins was released on July 26 and they traded for Nady on July 26th. So there is a window for it to have been worning by Hawkins. I would just look at the video and photos if you have not already.Comment

Here is a Nady that we have for sale - I am 99.9% sure this came out of the set from the last game of the year at Fenway on 9/28 as we bought a bunch of unwashed jerseys from that game at the same time as this one:

Noticed those jerseys; thanks.
I did check the 2008 schedule, and Hawkins did NOT appear in any Road Yankee games from July 13 until he was traded. Not to say that he was not dressed in the bullpen.
So, what does the square hem mean, if anything? Just a one-off jersey?
