You're in luck. I was at the game on April 30th and have several shots of Pujols. I'll go through all the shots I have of Pujols and I'll post everything I've got.kylehess941@hotmail.com

If your bat has this black dot in the pine tar it was used on April 25th when he hit a HR:

Re: Pujols MLB Holo'd ---Kyle Photomatch?
ahhh....my bad. I just re-checked the dates and I was at the game on the 29th, not the 30th. I checked through my pics I had of him when he was here in Atlanta and it looks like he had more tar and I can see that same black dot that chakes showed from that getty photo.kylehess941@hotmail.com

Re: Pujols MLB Holo'd ---Kyle Photomatch?
The Black 'DOT' should be on ALL Maple Bats used this year per the new 'Rules' enforced by MLB on ALL Bat Manufacturers:
Filip doesn’t mince words when it comes to the new regulations on maple bats, either. He said the test to determine whether the wood used in maple bats has an even slope of grain can easily be beaten (manufacturers will be required to place an ink dot on the bat handle, and if it bleeds more than a quarter of an inch diagonally, the bat is not certified). By rubbing 250-grit sandpaper on the handle, Filip said, the pores on the wood close and mask its true grain.
[quote]Admittedly, Filip’s company, Diablo Bats, isn’t worth much these days. He’s fighting to stave off bankruptcy, and he blames MLB. The $500,000 study commissioned by the league resulted in the doubling of a licensing fee required to sell bats to major league players. Filip said he cannot afford the $10,000, nor can he pay for the $10 million in insurance coverage mandated by MLB, also twice as much as last season.[/qoute]
Just an FYI for all you GU bat guys... if you get a 2009 GU MLB MAPLE Bat and it doesn't have the dot, it doesn't fly - period.
Another article (I need to find it) addresses the fact that ALL Maple Bat handles have to be light wood so the grain and dot can be checked INSTANTLY on the field.

No pics showing the knob or the end of the barrell, but the pine on the bat looks fairly spot on in the pics...
Check it out and let me know -
