Here what I'm looking at:
Gray knit pullover with v-neck, Boston across the chest. On the front tail (center) side by side tags read "1975" and wash instructions. In the collar, a McAuliffe tag is sewn just above a "44" tag.
Are these the proper tags (proper size) for a '75 Fisk gamer?

Yes, 44 is the proper size for Fisk in 1975. The tagging seems correct for a 1975 Boston road jersey.
