I just saw Kip Wells throw a spitter!

Kip Wells came in to pitch the bottom of the 9th for the Nats. The camera zoomed in on him and he hocked a glob of spit into his hand and rubbed it on the ball. I've seen players lick their fingers but never saw anyone spit on the ball.

Oh yeah, and Benji Molina hit Wells pitch into the seats for a HR...nice job Kip! Spit on another!
