Seattle Mariners Oakland A's Turn Back the Clock game

The Mariners and Athletics wore 1939 uniforms in a game a few weeks ago. It looks like some of the M's jerseys have gone to MLB.com. Does anyone know about the A's jerseys? I'm particularly looking for the Hannahan (#22) uniform and would pay a minimum of $500 for the jersey and even more for the uniform.

    Any one know anything?

    Thanks!

I'd suggest trying to contact someone from the A's, as the Mariners didn't get any of them this year.

I was watching the A's broadcast of that game. The A's announcers said that Seattle ordered the uniforms, the A's had nothing to do with them. And Seattle was keeping everything.

Thanks for the info! Is there a contact for the Mariners like there is for a lot of teams?

          Thanks again!

That is quite interesting, my info came direct from a Mariners contact who has been with the team for many years. I can't see why he would not know, considering his position. I wonder if the Mariners gave the set to the A's. I know that the Mariners had some from the last game vs. Oakland a few years ago. I'll see if I can find out more info on where they went.

i spoke to someone in seattle soon after that series, and he told me that they didn't have the A's unis.
i called the A's and the woman told me that they were going to use them for another throwback series. same as always, nobody knows nothing about nothing.

Last year the Indians played Seattle in a throwback game and the Mariners kept the Indians uniforms and auctioned them off via MLB.com. Sounds like Oakland is going to reuse them this year.

I see on the A's promotions listing they will have a Turn Back The Clock Replica Jersey give away day on Aug 16 vs the White Sox. Since last year was their 40th year in Oakland they gave away replica jerseys from different years. The A's did wear their '68 jerseys the day of the give away. So they may do something like that again this year.

Yeah, they wore '68 jerseys. I wish I could have picked up that one too. I heard those were sold in a silent auction at one of the weekend games.

Yes, some of the '68 jerseys were sold at the A's Community Fund silent auctions during weekend games. I just missed out on a couple of them. From what I recall seeing, I have a weekend ticket package for the A's, only about 10 jerseys were available at the auctions. Some others may have been auctioned at other events. I think the players were allowed to keep them if they wanted to.
